As per financials, company's growth is good, but last 16 months growth is surprising, RoNW is 8.87% for last three fiscals and issue looks fully priced as per latest earnings. With growth of country, this Industry will grow and after GST organized players will get more market share. Also company will use funds from IPO for capacity expansion and that will increase its production around 85% from current level. So, we give NEUTRAL rating to this SME IPO.

Started in 2010, SMVD Poly Pack Limited is Kolkata based manufacturer of PP (Polypropylene)/HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) woven sacks bags & Sacks, Leno Bags, Jumbo (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container) FIBC Bags & HDPE Tarpaulin. The 73843.2 Sq. Ft. manufacturing facility of the Company is situated in Parganas District of West Bengal. Company has installed capacity of 4420 MT per annum. The company has its presence in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Odisha, J & K, Chattisgarh, UP, AP and also Nepal. SMVD Poly serves both B2B and B2C sectors. Company's customers segment include fertilizer plants, Food Corporation of India, Mining & chemical industries, flour mills, ceramic industries, Steel Industries, Plastic compounds, Rice Plants, Poultry Farms etc. Under B2C segment they supply its products to those parties who use its plastic packing products for packing of their finished products. Tata Chemicals Limited is one of the top customers. On performance front, SMVD has (on a consolidated basis) posted turnover/net profits of Rs. 23.80 cr. / Rs. –(0.20) cr. (FY14), Rs. 29.39 cr. / Rs. 0.07 cr. (FY15), Rs. 29.82 cr. / Rs. 0.06 cr. (FY16) and Rs. 36.13 cr. / Rs. 1.19 cr. (FY17). For four months ended on 31.07.17 of the current fiscal, it has reported net profit of Rs. 0.60 crore on a turnover of Rs. 17.17 crore. Thus last sixteen months performance is a bit surprising. Issue is priced at a P/BV of 2.34 on the basis of its NAV as on 31.07.17 and at a P/BV of 1.80 on the basis of its post issue NAV. For last three fiscals it has posted an average EPS of Rs. 1.89 and an average RoNW of 8.87% on an equity capital of Rs. 1.33 crore. If we annualize latest earnings and attribute it on post issue equity capital then asking price is at a P/E of around 15 against industry average of around 18. So there is not much room for listing gain. On merchant banker's front, this is the 3rd mandate from its stable in past three years. The only listing (Shish Ind.) took place at a premium of around 7% on the day of listing. I agree that Samir is acting smart and thinking us duffers. But allotment is out. Amount is blocked, that doesn't mean that allotment is not out. Many a times amount is debited several hours after allotment (sometimes even after a change of date).
