Century Extrusions Limited (CEL) was incorporated as a public limited company in February 1988 and is headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal. CEL is one of India's leading pure-play aluminum extrusions manufacturing companies. It specializes in manufacturing a wide range of custom-engineered aluminum extruded profiles across various gauges, sizes, and aluminum alloy series (ranging from 1000 to 7000 series). These extruded products serve diverse commercial, industrial, and domestic applications across key economic sectors, including architectural structural glazing, road transport, automotive, defense, electronics (heat sinks), power engineering, packaging, marine engineering, and pre-fabricated structures.
The company operates under a Business-to-Business (B2B) business model, supplying tailored extruded profiles directly to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and industrial buyers who further process the extrusions into finished consumer products. Raw materials—primarily aluminum billets—are sourced predominantly from primary producers including National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) and Vedanta Aluminium Limited. To mitigate metal price volatility, CEL primarily operates under a price revision clause where raw material price fluctuations are passed on to customers, or hedges metal prices under fixed-price contracts.
CEL caters to a long-standing portfolio of reputed B2B clients, many of whom have been retained for over three decades. Top customer concentration remains balanced: in Fiscal 2026, the Top 3 customers accounted for 20.06% (₹ 9,598.01 Lakhs), the Top 5 customers contributed 27.94% (₹ 13,368.94 Lakhs), and the Top 10 customers generated 38.33% (₹ 18,338.58 Lakhs) of total operational revenue. Geographically, sales are well-distributed across India; in Fiscal 2026, South India represented 30% of sales, West India accounted for 27%, North India contributed 23%, and East India represented 19%.
Manufacturing operations are centralized at a 7.31-acre manufacturing facility situated at the WBIIDC Industrial Growth Centre in Kharagpur, West Bengal. The facility houses three advanced extrusion presses (1,250 MT, 1,620 MT, and 2,700 MT) supplied by UBE Machinery Corporation (Japan) alongside automated handling systems from Glanco Clark (USA). The unit possesses an aggregate installed annual production capacity of 15,000 MTPA. Actual production and capacity utilization figures over the last three fiscals are as follows:
- Fiscal 2024: Actual Production = 13,715 MTPA | Capacity Utilization = 91.43%
- Fiscal 2025: Actual Production = 13,433 MTPA | Capacity Utilization = 89.55%
- Fiscal 2026: Actual Production = 13,325 MTPA | Capacity Utilization = 88.83%
